CNC Routing

Discover how the CNC Routing process will help you achieve your project goals

Why Choose CNC Routing?

CNC routing is ideal for a wide variety of plastic materials, allowing the formation of high quality, accurate parts in a much shorter amount of time than traditional manufacturing methods. The accuracy of CNC routing also guarantees consistency of the finished parts, ensuring repeatability in batch made products and for returning customers.

Production is also cheaper than alternative methods as little waste is created and expensive tooling can be avoided, ultimately cutting production costs and maximising profit.

Unsure whether CNC routing is the best choice for your design? Let us know! We will be happy to provide a second opinion or accommodate your manufacturing needs with our CNC routing machines at our site in Nottingham.

What Is CNC Routing?

CNC routing uses computer numeric control (CNC) to route tool paths that the machine will follow in order to cut, shape and profile material to meet specified requirements. Using a variety of different shaped router bits, the machine can create a range of desired forms from a large sheet of raw material secured to the machine bed by vacuum.

This process is ideal for creating a wide range of plastic products, including end-use components, prototypes, and for R&D. CNC routers can also operate with a high degree of accuracy, carrying out intricate engraving or the precise fabrication of smaller parts as required.
